What We Offer
Hedgehog Bikes in Onehunga, Auckland offers complete hire bike rental packages; the bicycles are hybrid road bikes which are suitable for general road riding, commuting, non competitive events and cycle touring. They all have rigid forks and 700c wheels with wide road tyres for comfort. If you encounter it on your journey they will handle simple off-road paths and gravel roads. The bikes are well maintained by our mechanics and are serviced to a high standard each time they are hired.
We can supply bikes for one day or up to multiple months for cycle tours. Supplied with the bikes are puncture repair gear (spare tube, tyre levers, pump & patches), a frame mounted bottle carrier, a lock and helmet.
Optional extra accessories are also available, including: Carrier racks, Pannier bags, Handlebar Bags, Fenders, Cycle Computers and Car Racks.
Bike Pickup is from the Hedgehog Bikes store in Onehunga, Auckland (a relatively short distance from Auckland Airport), we have multiple possible drop-off locations in the North and South islands depending on where you plan to end your tour (please note that recollection and relocation costs apply).

In New Zealand helmets are required while riding by law so if you require them with the bike we provide them free of charge. We recommended that you read through the New Zealand Road Code for Cyclists If you are not used to cycling in NZ and the road rules that apply.
